As a prayer room, we want to frequently offer classes that will help you go DEEP into prayer and bring expansion to your interior life—your friendship with God who lives IN you.

Fire Within is a masterpiece on deep prayer. Thomas Dubay unpacks friendship love of God using the examples of Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross and explains how they taught nothing more than what the New Testament teaches us. We are meant to give ALL for the sake of the gospel and knowing the Man Jesus.

John 10:10 fall Internship

John 10:10 is a 10-week internship that will introduce you to the core value teachings of the house of prayer and night an day theology. We will communicate with you after you turn in your application.

10 WEEKS of intentional time with God

10 CLASSES to fuel your prayer life

10 HOURS each week in the prayer room

10 DOLLARS per week donation

 

The John 10:10 internship is designed to fuel your prayer life. We make it available to all who want to jump in to part or all of it. This internship gives our core value teaching at the house of prayer. For all who are interested in serving on staff at the prayer room, this internship is required in its entirety.

For the staff commitment, the intern must complete all the requirements below. Upon successful completion, a Certificate of Completion will be issued. For those who did only part of the internship for personal enrichment, a Certificate of Participation will be issued.

 

Requirements

1)    Attend all 10 classes of the internship.

2)    Attend weekly Saturday night Encounter God Service.

3)    Attend 10 hours in the prayer room weekly.

4)    Attend Thursday morning Staff Intercession and Staff Meeting 9-1130am

5)    Give $10 per week for the 10 weeks. This helps us cover our costs of the internship.

 

With the successful fulfillment of these requirements, the intern will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible to apply for a Volunteer Staff position at East Bay Prayer Furnace.

A minimum of six months of Volunteer Staff is required in order to apply for an Intercessory Prayer Missionary position.

Pastoral Reference

Every application is required to have a pastoral reference which can be found and forwarded below. Please forward this to a pastor or close leader in your life and they can submit it from this website. Once we receive your application, and the pastoral reference, we will review both and contact you.

INTERNSHIP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The internship is open to all people that are able to meet the requirements.

  • This internship will give you a jumpstart on your prayer life. The classes are designed to fuel you in prayer and getting around others that are also sacrificing their time and energy to pray brings an encouragement that is unique.

  • The classes will be audio recorded; however, attending in person is the best way to receive all that’s offered. Interaction with the class is a significant component.

  • The internship weekly requirements is one class a week, 10 hours in the prayer room (including attending the weekly staff meeting every Thursday 9-10am), and attending the Encounter God Service every Saturday 6-9pm.

  • Yes, many people work a full time job alongside doing the internship. As long as you can complete all of the requirements for the internship, you are able to work a full or part time job.
