The Fire Within Internship consists of ten classes on the book Fire Within by Thomas Dubay. These classes are designed to help you cultivate a deep interior prayer life. All the requirements of both internships are listed below. Deadline to apply to internships is two weeks prior to start date of the internships.

The John 10:10 Internship is designed to fuel your prayer life. Ten classes will give you an introduction to our core values including Passion for Jesus, the Forerunner Calling, Contemplative Prayer, the End Times, Prophetic Singing, Intercessory Prayer, Sermon on the Mount Lifestyle, and much more. For all who are interested in serving on staff at the prayer room, this internship in its entirety is required. After submitting the application, a staff member will reach out to you for next steps.

Internship Requirements

  • Attend all 10 classes of the internship—Wednesday evenings 630-730pm.

  • Attend weekly Saturday night Encounter God Services.

  • Attend 10 hours in the prayer room weekly.

  • Out of the 10 hour prayer room requirement, you must attend the Staff Meeting every Thursday 9-10am, as well as the Encounter God Service. (4 hours total)

  • Give $10 per week for the 10 weeks. This helps us cover the costs of the internship. Apply for the internship

Pastoral Reference

Every application is required to have a pastoral reference which can be found and forwarded below. Please forward this to a pastor or close leader in your life and they can submit it from this website. Once we receive your application, and the pastoral reference, we will review both and contact you.

With the successful fulfillment of these requirements, the intern will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible to apply for a Volunteer Staff position at the East Bay Prayer Furnace. A minimum of six months of Volunteer Staff is required in order to apply for an Intercessory Prayer Missionary position.

INTERNSHIP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The internship is open to all people that are able to meet the requirements.

  • This internship will give you a jumpstart on your prayer life. The classes are designed to fuel you in prayer and getting around others that are also sacrificing their time and energy to pray brings an encouragement that is unique.

  • The classes will be audio recorded; however, attending in person is the best way to receive all that’s offered. Interaction with the class is a significant component.

  • The internship weekly requirements is one class a week, 10 hours in the prayer room (including attending the weekly staff meeting every Thursday 9-10am), and attending the Encounter God Service every Saturday 6-9pm.

  • Yes, many people work a full time job alongside doing the internship. As long as you can complete all of the requirements for the internship, you are able to work a full or part time job.
